Parasitology and parasitic diseases

The Parasitology and parasitic diseases unit is responsible for laboratory diagnostic services, consultations and technical-scientific support to veterinarians working at the VTH.

In particular, the Parasitology service is responsible for carrying out analysis on faecal, blood, skin and other organic samples.

The unit's work translates into research, quantification and isolation, based on type of investigation. This allows VTH's veterinarians not only to make the correct diagnosis, but also to adopt the most suitable treatment plan to treat parasitic diseases.

The unit's staff is composed as follows:

  • Dr. Giulia Simonato (Head of Unit)
  • Prof. Antonio Frangipane di Regalbono
  • Dr. Cinzia Tessarin
  • Dr. Giorgia Dotto
  • Dr. Alessia Zoroaster
