Behavioral medicine

The Behavioral medicine unit is responsible for studying normal and pathological animal behavior. The Head of the Unit, Dr. Simona Normando, works alongside veterinarians, farmers and animal owners who wish to receive a specialist consultation or a second opinion on animal behavior.

This branch of medicine studies animal behaviors and the relationship between animals and their owners, investigating any cause of behavioral abnormalities. In addition to further understanding animal behaviors (and correct them where necessary) and the relationship between animals and their owners, the suggested treatment plan may also include the administration of drugs. For the treatment to be successful it is of the utmost importance that the pet owner follows each step of the process.
